Hormone Disrupting Chemicals are Making Puberty Come Earlier and Making Us Fat

Better Black Health Podcast

Host: Dr. Greg Hall

Dr. Greg Hall welcomes Dr. Essence Maston to discuss EDCs (Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals). Many of these chemicals are found in shampoo, lotions, conditioners, lipstick, makeup, moisturizers, sunscreens, creams, and much more. It is believed by some that the increase in obesity, or being overweight, particularly in African American women, is the cause. Black women have the highest rate of obesity and a high diabetes risk as well. Similarly, Black girls have the earliest age at puberty, and the age has been getting younger over the last 20 years. Learn how to protect the young girls in your family while allowing their natural development, and decreasing their risk for cancer and/or heart disease later in life.

Go to NIAAH.org and learn more about EDCs, what to watch for, and how to protect yourself and your family. This article has all of the details HERE: https://www.niaah.org/hormone-disrupting-chemicals-edcs-are-throwing-black-womens-systems-off/
