Better Black Health with Dr. Greg Hall welcomes back Dr. Tim Goler, a sociologist, educator, and public scholar whose work examines how structural racism, intergenerational stress, and life course challenges impact the mental and emotional health of Black communities. He grew up in Cleveland, attended Cleveland Public Schools, and earned degrees from Cleveland State University and Case Western Reserve University. A former Marine, Dr. Goler now teaches Sociology and Urban Affairs and directs research at the Center for African American Public Policy at Norfolk State University. His work connects academic research with community practices, focusing on mental clarity, self-determination, and culturally grounded wellness approaches.
